About the club

Who we are

ED Robotics is a robotics club based at Erik Dahlberg Upper Secondary School in Jönköping. Our goal isn't just to give ED's students the chance to take part in exciting, hands-on robotics projects — it's to build a warm and successful community of future engineers.

ED Robotics was founded in 2022, and we currently work on several independent robotics projects, primarily RoboCup and FRC. Help us build robots that walk, roll, swim, fly, play football, and even navigate Mars!

What we do

Members get the chance to make a real impact on a complex, multidisciplinary, multi-stage engineering project at a level most upper secondary students never encounter. As a member, you'll gain experience in milling, 3D printing, microcontrollers, electronics, coding languages, hardware–software integration, algorithms, and much more.

No prior experience with robotics is required, but a willingness to learn and put in the time is. Want to build some cool robots and have fun while you're at it? Join us!

Competitions
FIRST Robotics Competition

FRC

FIRST Robotics Competition combines the excitement of sport with the rigor of science and technology – often called "the ultimate sport for the mind". Under strict rules, limited resources, and tight deadlines, teams are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand", hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-sized robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talent to guide every team.

RoboCup Junior

RoboCup

RoboCup Junior is a project-oriented robotics competition for students up to age 19, focused on creating an environment where students grow by expanding their knowledge, sparking their curiosity, and becoming comfortable with technology. The competition has three branches — Soccer, Rescue, and OnStage — each built around collaborative problem-solving for creative young minds with a range of interests and skills.
