EDRC2024: an exciting robotics competition at Erik Dahlbergsgymnasiet
At the end of the school year at Erik Dahlbergsgymnasiet in Jönköping, one of the year's most anticipated events takes place: the Erik Dahlberg Robotics Competition, or EDRC2024. The competition, held on Wednesday, June 5, brought together 64 enthusiastic first-year students for a day full of innovation, creativity, and technology.
A competition day full of excitement
The competition is organized by ED Robotics, and this year's competition was designed by none other than Kelvin Frank, mentor and founder of ED Robotics as well as an engineer at Husqvarna AB. With his experience and knowledge in robotics, Kelvin has created a competition environment that both challenges and inspires the students.
During technology classes, the students built their robots, giving them hands-on experience in construction, programming, and problem-solving. The competition consisted of several rounds where teams of students competed against each other. A total of eight teams qualified for the quarterfinals, and after a series of intense and exciting matches, it became clear who would take home the win. The final winners of EDRC2024 were Jonathan and Daihui, who showed impressive skill and teamwork throughout the competition. Their robot stood out with both technical precision and innovative design. Huge congratulations to them!

The engineers of the future
EDRC2024 was not just a competition, but also an opportunity for students to open their eyes to the amazing world of robotics. Hopefully this event has inspired many to join ED Robotics and perhaps even join our team competing in the First Robotics Competition next year. The competition was a great success and we're already looking forward to next year's event.
EDRC2024 truly showed that the future is bright for the technology students at Erik Dahlbergsgymnasiet. We hope this is just the beginning of a long and successful journey in robotics and technology for all participants.
